Dr Anand is presently working as a consultant in orthopedic and spine surgery. After pursuing his master degree and training in general orthopedic he entered into the world of spine surgery through National Board of examination which is considered as one of the most difficult process to get through. However he could not restrain himself from further learning and improving for better patient care. Therefore even after getting the recognition as board certified Spine surgeon from the top institute of the country he continued his learning process in India and abroad with a futuristic vision of Endoscopic spinal procedure. He is the first surgeon to introduce full endoscopic spinal surgery in Odisha. Endoscopic and minimally invasive spinal surgery have several advantages in comparison to traditional open procedure as it causes less tissue damage, less blood loss and most  importantly minimal duration of hospital stay. He has a strong belief that advanced technology in combination with technical skill can transform spine care facility in the country which in isolation is never possible. Hence he continuously upgrades himself in both the aspect. Presently he is associated with various national and international organizations as faculty in spine and involved in various academic activities like teaching young colleagues and upcoming surgeons.
