The department of Haematology and Bone Marrow Transplantation boasts of state-of-the-art facilities and currently has dedicated transplant beds with HEPA filters and laminar flow and integrated monitoring systems,High Dependency Units,Step-Down Units, Single rooms and Day-Care facilites. The Director of the department is Prof. (Dr.) PrantarChakrabarti who has more than 20 years’ experience and has been instrumental in setting up advanced centers of Haematology and Bone Marrow Transplantation which have been imparting post-doctoral training for more than 15 years.The department also has dedicated manpower in the form of junior and associated consultants, registrars along with a trained nursing team who have already performed more than 50 transplants till date. Other unique facilities include:

  • 24X7 transfusion support with leukodepleted and irradiated blood products
  • 24X7 hematopathology support with
  • Ten colorflowcytometry including MRD and FLAER techniques
  • Advanced coagulation laboratory with factor assays and inhibitor screening
  • Immunohistochemistry
  • 24X7 Microbiology support with Biofire® and advanced molecular techniques
  • 24X7 Imaging support with PET CT, MRI and advanced CT techniques
  • Critical Care support from a dedicated team with orientation in Hemato Oncology
