Being a graduate from Calcutta National Medical College, Dr Binayak Chanda has acquired extensive training in Cardiac Surgery in the UK having worked mainly in London with some of the best names in cardiac surgery. After returning to his hometown Kolkata he has worked as an senior consultant in many Kolkata hospitals. His recent assignment took him to Bangladesh for a short period where he established an excellent reputation as a surgeon there. He has performed more than 4000 open heart surgery both in Kolkata and abroad. He has established for himself an excellent reputation both in Eastern India as well as outside and particularly as a safe heart surgeon. He is also the author of many academic papers and presentations in internationally reputed journals. He is also the recipient of multiple awards in his profession.
