Who is a Clinical psychologist? They are trained and registered professionals who assess and treat a wide range of difficulties that can occur at any time in a person’s life. These difficulties can relate to problems with: emotions, relationships, adverse life events, behavior, unusual experiences, drugs and/or alcohol dependence and the new concern of recent times: gadget addiction.
Clinical psychologists are not medical doctors and will not prescribe medication. At AMRI, we focus on how people think, feel and behave; diagnose the problems and provide non-pharmaceutical treatment plans for patients suffering from emotional and behavioral problems through clinical observation, interviews and standardized tests. Then, together with the patient, we formulate a program of treatment according to his/her needs. We further monitor the patient’s progress on a regular basis to ensure that their needs are met by the course of action, and to adjust it if necessary.
