He is currently working as a senior consultant, Nephrology, and transplant physician at AMRI Hospitals, Bhubaneswar. Dr. Sukanto Kishore Das, has completed DM in Nephology from SGPGI, Lucknow, and MD Internal Medicine (Gold Medal) from KGMU, Lucknow. He played a pivotal role in establishing the Dialysis and Transplant program at AMRI Hospitals, Bhubaneswar which is amongst the largest such programs in the state of Orissa. 

• He has so far performed more than 500 kidney transplants under his care. He is amongst the pioneers who have been instrumental in expanding the renal transplantation program in the state of Orissa.

• Has expertise in various areas of intervention nephrology such as insertion of permacath as dialysis access along with other regular dialysis access related procedures such a triple lumen and double lumen dialysis catheter insertion, insertion of percutaneous CAPD catheter, performing real time ultrasound guided kidney biopsy etc. Focus on conducting OPDS, Camps and CMES in different parts of Orissa.

• Another area of clinical interest is being an integral part of treatment of critically ill patients with renal failure. He is involved in carrying out camps, community awareness programs in different parts of Orissa and adjoining parts of West Bengal for awareness about kidney diseases amongst the general public. He also remains active on various platforms such as print, electronic and social media for spreading awareness about kidney diseases amongst common people.
