Dr. Arghya Majumder is a Senior Consultant & Transplant Physician in Kolkata. He is the Director of Nephrology at AMRI Hospitals (Dhakuria & Mukundapur). He was the president of Indian Society of Nephrology (East Zone) in the years 2014, 2015 & 2019. He has a vast teaching experience in India & UK. He has been examiner of Indo-Australian Critical Care Course, DNB (Med), M Pharma Courses & Guide to PhD. He is also the Head of the department of Internal Medicine in AMRI, Dhakuria and Head of the DNB (Medicine) Course.

  • ASCEND study- A randomised, double blind, placebo controlled, parallel group study to assess the effect of the endothelin receptor antagonist avosentan on time to doubling of serum creatinine, end stage renal disease or death in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and diabetic nephropathy- A FDA approved international multi- centre study- published in JASN
  • Microalbuminuria and VEGF A- Diagnostic and prognostic significance- submitted as thesis for PhD in Biochemistry to the Jadavpur University- by my student S. Basu
  • Multiple thesis and audit projects- conducted by my DNB & MPharma students & supervised by me as a guide.
