We conduct many programmes for the medical fraternity at large. Seminars and courses are also undertaken to provide knowledge and experience about the medical developments at large and how to best use them in treating patients and in research purposes.

A faculty of 8 members from Kolkata & other states delivered lectures on Critical Care medicine. Dr. Ram E Rajagopalan from Chennai, Dr. Pravin Amin from Mumbai, Dr. R. K. Mani from Delhi & Dr. Rajesh Chawla from Delhi were distinguished members of the faculty. The coneference was attended by 16 chairpersons and a total of 179 delegates.
The 5th AMRICON Medicine update was a national conference on recent advancement in Medical specialties. The conference was attended by 128 delegates and featured a faculty of 16 members and 35 chairpersons. Mr. Malay De, Principal Secretary of Health, Govt of WB graced the occasion as Chief Guest, who also unveiled the AMRI Hospitals Journal.
Dr. Sujit Chowdhury, AMRI Saltlake, Dr. B. B. Sarkar, Fortis Hospital, Kolkata, Dr. Rabin Chakrabarty, APOLLO Hospital, Kolkata, Dr. Soumitra Kumar, RTIICS, Prof. Arup Kundu, Durgapur IQ city were other distinguished faculty members.
The 1st AMRICON Paediatric update featured a faculty of 29 members from Kolkata and 7 other states. The members all provided their insights on Paediatric medicine. The conference was attended by 102 delegates featuring a faculty of 36 members. Dr. Bichitrovanu Sarkar from Great Ormond Hospital for children, London, UK was the distinguished International faculty member.

Kabra from AIIMS, New Delhi, Dr. Shaila Bhattacharya from Manipal Hospital, Bangalore, Dr. Kaushik Mandal, from SGPGI, Lucknow, Dr. Madhuri Kanitkar from Director General Armed force Med service, New Delhi, Dr. Pravin Khilnani, BLK superspeciality Hospital, Delhi, Dr. Anshu Srivastava, from SGPGIMS, Lucknow, Dr. Neelam Mohan from Medanta Medicity Hospital, Gurgaon, were distinguished faculty members.
Dr. Santosh Agrawal, HOD- Pediatric Medicine, AMRI Mukundapur was the organising Chairman. Dr. Rajiv Sinha, HOD- Paediatric Nephrology, Dr. Saumen Meur, Consultant PICU & Dr. Anirban Moitra, consultant Paediatric Pulmonologist were Organising secretaries.
The 2nd AMRICON Gynaecology & Obstetrics update was a national conference on recent advances in Gynaecology and Obstetrics. 104 delegates attended the conference which featured a faculty of 30 members.
Prof. B. N. Chakrabarty, Director, IRM Kolkata delivered a key note lecture on Luteal phase support. Dr. R. P. Soonawala, consultant Gynaecologist, Soonawala Clinic Mumbai & Past President, FOGSI delivered a lecture on Women’s Health-- past, present & future. The welcome address was delivered by Dr. Pronab Dasgupta. Dr. Alok Basu was the Organising Chairman & Dr. Biswajyoti Guha was the Organising Secretary.
The seminar was organised by the Department of Academic and Health Research, AMRI Dhakuria, in association with the Department of Pharm Tech & CRC, Jadavpur University on 28th November 2014 at Dr. Triguna Sen Auditorium.
There were 12 scientific sessions where speakers from JU & AMRI & IPGMER, STMH, Sagar Dutta Med College, KPCMC, Peerless Hospital, Directorate, Drug control, Govt of WB, Bengal school of Technology delivered their lecture on basic & clinical Research.
The National faculty from Pfizer Ltd, Dr. Ganesh Uchit delivered the lecture on "Clinical Research on new drug development". 110 delegates attended the seminar. Prof. Abhijit Chakrabarty, Honble Vice Chancellor, JU, Mr. Rupak Barua, CEO & Dr. T. S. Kuckrejja, President AMRI - Dhakuria, Prof. Shivaji Bandyopadhyay, Honble Dean, JU Dr. S. K. Todi, Med Advisor, AMRI & Dr. T. K. Chatterjee, Director, CRC, JU inaugurated the seminar.
The theme was to bridge the gap between basic research & clinical research & to build up a research atmosphere in West Bengal. This seminar was the first joint initiative between AMRI & Jadavpur University.
