Emergency Medicine (EM) is a relatively new specialty within medicine that is expanding at a phenomenal pace throughout the world. The international community has recognised the need to develop emergency medicine as a unique discipline and independent specialty. Many countries have already recognised the specialty of EM and offer specific training programs. In India an enormous critical need still exists to train many Emergency Physicians.
AMRI Hospital, Bhubaneswar in collaboration with The Ronald Reagan Institute of Emergency Medicine at George Washington University (RRIEM/GWU) now offers a three-year Post-Graduate Program in Emergency Medicine (MEM). Through this collaboration from RRIEM/GWU and Senior Consultants/Faculty at AMRI, the students will have continuous guidance and education in specific topics and skills that constitute the field of emergency medicine.
